That&#8217;s not what I had in mind as a teenager when I dreamed of writing my own novel. Yet, I have not been able to write anything longer, and I don&#8217;t know if it&#8217;s in the cards for me. I might not be able to live up to my standards for what makes a book worth publishing. Who needs another mediocre book, I ask you? With influencers getting book contracts regardless of whether they can write, the rise of AI books, and all the ghostwriting I have done myself, for people who are clearly not writers, I have somewhat lost faith in the idea of writing a book myself.
